If you want beautiful newborn photos like these, it’s best to book when you are still pregnant. Let me know your due date and I can pencil you in. Newborn portraits are best taken between 5 and 14 days old.

All babies must be less than 14 days old at the time of the portrait session. The younger, the better. This is really important, as those first 2 weeks are what makes a newborn, well, newly born! Newborns are squishy, wrinkly, sleepy and they just make your heart go “Awwwwww”… OK OK I admit it - bigger babies make my heart go aw too… but after 2 weeks old, they have filled out, and tend to like stretching and staying awake for longer periods of time.

And some great news – we’re expecting our family to expand in 2010!! That’s right, I’m currently 19 weeks pregnant; the baby is due on 12th June. We are all very excited, especially Jessica who is really looking forward to being a big sister.

I am offering portrait services in Canberra on a limited first-come, first-served basis in 2010. I will not be photographing at all during the months of May, June and July, so if you have a special event that you need portraits as gifts, please factor this into your planning.

I was so excited to get a call from this family, wanting natural family photos in the gorgeous Blue Mountains bush. We discussed a number of locations, but this one seemed perfect, and wasn’t in the National Park, so there would be no issues with them bringing beautiful Calico along. As those who follow this blog know, I have a thing for red hair, and I was in heaven having a family of redheads to photograph. Thanks guys for the wonderful opportunity to get to know you! Here’s a few of my favourites from our session.
